American Legacy Foundation
Building a world where young people reject tobacco and anyone can quit.  The Foundation develops programs that address the health effects of tobacco use. They want to help all young people reject tobacco, and give everyone access to tobacco prevention and cessation services, by focusing on vulnerable populations,  They work through grants, technical assistance and training, partnerships, youth activism, and counter-marketing and grassroots marketing campaigns.

breathe easy Missouri
promotes the right of all citizens to breathe clean, smoke-free air and live free from addiction to tobacco products.  They work to prevent youth initiation of tobacco use, increase quitting among youth and adults and eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke.

Tobacco-Free MO/Greater St. Louis Coalition
The Tobacco-Free Missouri /Greater St. Louis Coalition is made up of more than 600 organizations, schools, businesses, and concerned citizens who come together to work on the many health issues that result from tobacco use.  This includes preventing children from using tobacco and helping adults quit smoking.

Quit4life - Facilitator's Guide
Many youth want to go beyond quitting or individual behaviour change and want to address tobacco as a social or community health issue. They may feel misled by the manipulation of the tobacco industry and the resources it spends on targeting them. Some feel angry or helpless. To channel these feelings in a positive way, it can be useful to provide youth with information and tools about tobacco advocacy initiatives.

Tar Wars -- American Academy of Family Physicians
Tar Wars is a tobacco-free education program for fourth- and fifth-grade students. The program is designed to teach kids about the short-term, image-based consequences of tobacco use, the cost associated with using tobacco products, and the advertising techniques used by the tobacco industry to market their products to youth. A follow-up poster contest is conducted at the school, state, and national level to reinforce the Tar Wars message.
